Across all countries and regions, textile products are continuously being manufactured, imported, advertised and sold in accordance to national regulations aimed to protect people and the environment from the negative impacts of textiles. However, there are very few established national regulations on textiles in place. Nevertheless, many different voluntary standards related to the textile industry have been developed.
